An endangered species I just recently learned about last night would be the Pink Dolphin also known as Boto or Amazon River Dolphin. I was very intrigued by this species because I love dolphins and my favorite color is pink. These beautiful animals live in the Amazon River and are the friendliest of the dolphins species. However, these poor creatures do not get the niceness in return due to its greatest enemy: humans. Water pollution has destroyed their habitats and made these dolphins survival very difficult. Humans are also destroying the pink dolphins natural habitat, which is the South American tropical rainforest. These dolphins are also creatures of curiosity and approach boats in the rivers. The propellers often hit the dolphins and they become hurt. Because of a mass amount of fishers, a large number of dolphins get caught in fishing nets and lose their lives everyday. All these horrible things are forcing them into extinction. I would love to one day go see one of these extraordinary animals in person but of this continues I will not be able to. So to help solve this problem, I think that aquariums and zoos should take action and bring some of them in to mate them and create more dolphins.
